Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and a hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.

When you submit reviews, we store the review content, ratings, and brew method alongside your user ID. Your reviews are public and visible on the site.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide the RoastRank service: displaying your reviews, calculating coffee rankings, and personalizing your experience based on your preferred brew method.

We track affiliate link clicks in aggregate to understand which coffees are most popular. Click data may include your user ID if you are logged in, and the referring page URL.

Third-Party Services

If you sign in with Google OAuth, Google provides us with your email address and display name as part of the authentication process. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Affiliate links direct you to third-party roaster websites. Once you leave RoastRank, the roaster's privacy policy applies.

Data Retention

Your account data and reviews are retained as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at support@roastrank.com.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
